Jerry Helms is a Platinum Life Master, with over 23,000 masterpoints to his credit. He has been writing a column that appears in the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) Bulletin for over ten years. In his column, Jerry adroitly handles questions from readers--questions about bidding, defense, psychology, and Jerry's philosophy about the game we love. His answers are always clearly written, well presented, and enjoyable to read. He has a talent for weaving a touch of humor into the more serious discussion of the problem presented. Jerry is fond of embellishing his discussion with "Jerry-isms," which are clever, concise pearls of wisdom that are easily remembered and can be adopted by any partnership.
