When the ACBL established its Teacher Accreditation Program (TAP) in 1987, Jerry was asked to participate as a trainer. During his tenure, he certified over 2,000 bridge teachers. Since 1994, he has served annually as an expert panelist for the ABTA. He is a member of the National Speakers Program, and he provides free lectures during the Spring, Summer, and Fall National Bridge Tournaments. In addition to professional play, much of Jerry's time is spent performing seminars all across North America. Jerry is a featured monthly columnist for the ACBL Bulletin, with the byline "Ask Jerry". He is the author of Helms to HELLO, its third printing, along with The Best of Ask Jerry, and Over My Shoulder.
