This Teacher’s Supplement is designed to be used in combination with 5 Minute Contract Bridge Puzzles for Novices and Advancing Players. It provides a teacher with 80 hands for in classroom play, enabling students to practice the strategies introduced in the initial book. Together, the two books form a complete 10 session classroom course on bidding and declarer play.

As in the main book, only three bidding conventions are used: Stayman, Transfer Bids, and Blackwood. Both books are based on the more modern and widely used Two Over One Game Forcing System, which is a significant improvement over the Standard American System.

Teachers may wish to assign one chapter for students to review as homework prior to each of the lessons. At the beginning of each in person session, the teacher may review the principles and techniques set forth in the day’s lesson and have students play some or all of the eight pre-dealt hands from the supplement.
